This hat, hand knit from hand spun Pennsylvania Shetland wool, is one of the warmest you will enjoy. Thicker and heavier than most hats, it will be appreciated this winter. Farmers Almanac is calling for a cold one!
It would be a great choice for those that own a boat and are out in the cold, wet mist.
This hat will fit a head about 23+/-
The hat is a cinnamon-brown heather and is made with care. I was able to get some very special wool from a local sheep farmer and personally spun up the wool for this hat, washed it and then knit it up. You'll love it!
Hand wash, lay to dry.
Woolen seaman's cap
My hand knit hats are made with the utmost care. I check them several times while knitting for uniformity of stitches, yarn quality and vegetable matter, and personally hand wash and dry each one when finished. This hat began as a bag of loose wool. I have spun, plied, washed and then knit the resulting yarn into this beautiful, unique hat.
Nothing is more comforting or appreciated than a personally handmade hat, pair of hand knit mittens or fingerless gloves. They are always so warm, comfortable and made with care. Try a hat or a pair of mittens for yourself or as a gift & I'm sure you will be back! I use high quality yarn from small farms whenever I can.
